Welcome back. It's been a while since our last update in August where we reworked our User Interface systems and showed off the entity system. Over the last month we took a small break and then got back to work on one of the most significant systems in the game... Encounters. Encounters are started when you interact with an entity to either battle it, perform a skilling action, or to loot it. In this update we are happy to introduce our first skilling based encounter for Woodcutting. This implementation is still a heavy work in progress, but we are ready to begin testing our core systems behind skills, tools and woodcutting. Thank you for testing this update as always, and we can't wait to receive your feedback! We will be adding new features and content to woodcutting over the course of this month.

Update 10th October 2023
- Added new UI additions and animations to Woodcutting encounter.
- Added small pause after each hit in Woodcutting encounter.
- Pine trees now can take between 2-3 hits before depleting. (from 2)
- Decreased experience gained from hitting the blank segment for woodcutting.
- Removed interaction circle guides from POI.
- Added interaction circle guide to player (150m).
- Increased interaction distance for POIs from player.
- Entities are now much more likely to spawn near the player.
- Fixed incorrect item amount for logs on reward screen.
- Replaced some assets for cut pine trees.
Original Changes
- Added Woodcutting
- Pine tree entities can now appear on the map while adventuring. You can interact with the entity by tapping on it while nearby.
- When in the encounter you must time your taps in accordance with the Swing bar at the top right of the screen.
- Each encounter allows you 2 swings of your axe.
- Cutting down a pine tree grants Pine Logs to the player's inventory.
- Added Training Axe Tool
- The training axe allows you to see and interact with Pine Trees.
- Your training axe will be upgradeable in the future update.
- Reworked levelling and experience system
- Large scale changes to experience requirements have been made.
- Base level for skills is now level 0. When a skill is learnt, you will be raised to level 1.
- All players have had their skills reset from this update.
- Elemental runestones no longer grant experience in a random skill.
- Removed all previous entities apart from the super rare yellow box.
Future Changes
The following woodcutting changes are planned for a future update:
- Logs gained will be showed during the encounter after each swing
- The swing bar will play animations when hit.
- The tree will emit particles when hit.
The following non-woodcutting changes are still planned for a future update:
- Ability to turn the vibration off in new settings menu.
- Animations for opening and closing the windows.

Testing Notes
- Please report any feedback you might have about the tree entities that spawn on your map.
- Please report any issues you encounter during the mini-game and suggestions not relating to the future changes listed above.
- We are continuing to look for feedback on any issues you encounter when using the game. This includes errors when connecting to the server, disconnections while playing, or issues interacting with locations.
- All new windows and interfaces are still a heavy work in progress or using placeholder graphics and will change over the next couple of builds.
