Welcome back to our biggest update yet. There are so many features and changes packed into this one update. We have been working hard over the last month to put together a complete package of an update which allows the testing of one of our newest skills alongside properly implementing it across the game so far. On top of the new mining skill we have improved a number of areas such as tool upgrades, new graphical effects for entities and encounters, over 40 new items, woodcutting tiers, crafting changes, and much more. We hope you can help test as much as possible and leave feedback through our new bug reporting system. | |||

New Features
Mining
The Mining skill has been added to the game. Visit the Blacksmith in a Town Hub to learn the new skill, obtain your Training Pickaxe, and start seeing a whole new resource in the world! All materials can be taken to the Blacksmith for further refining in the crafting menu. Currently we have added the first tier of rock in the game: Limestone. Limestone contains Copper Ore & Zinc Ore. Follow the in-game tutorial for an explanation of how the new mining encounter works.
Crafting Changes
Crafting has been changed to our new queue system. Components can no longer be crafted simultaneously. When choosing to craft new items, they will instead be added to a queue where the trader will work on each order one at a time. We will look to add quality of life features in the future such as Cancelling orders, adding to rearranging orders and allowing "advanced" work orders where items can be crafted even if the components are not yet in the player's inventory, but the resources are.
Tool Upgrading
Tools (both Axes and Pickaxes) now required actual crafted components to be upgraded. You can use both the Carpenter and the Blacksmith to obtain the correct components to upgrade your tools. Some tools have a lower max upgrade level than others, these include the Training Tools and the Copper Tools. Currently Bronze tier tools and above are not upgradable. This will be rectified when the bronze crafting components become available in an upcoming update.
Note: all player tools have had their upgrade levels reset to ensure no problems integrating into the new caps.
New Rendering System
We have moved to Unity's new rendering system which allows us to utilize a range of new rendering features. Due to this, our lighting and shaders have not yet been optimised or upgrading leading to a temporary decrease in visual fidelity. We will be resolving these issues slowly over the next few updates as well refine and test these changes with the new system. Please report any issues you have through our new bug report tool.
